This course is an overview of the defense of the Christian faith, discussing what we defend, why we defend, and how we defend God’s message. The course looks at arguments from various cults, religions, and philosophies against Christianity. The students are exposed to arguments against Christianity.
This is a necessary step in gaining confidence in the Truth of Jesus Christ. Arguments against the faith are analyzed using a Biblical worldview and logic. Christian apologetics is not simply defensive, but also offensive (in the best sense of that word), so the class also examines the weaknesses and short-comings of each non-biblical worldview. This course uses various types of media including books, videos, and Internet resources.
